Limit milage Japan Forum Honda Honda and Acura Car Forums

P0401 1999 Acura TL Honda V6 - EricTheCarGuy

There is no mileage limit in Japan, you can have an agreement of 400 million miles if you want you just have three problems.
2 buying a parking space for it, you must have proof of a parking space before you can register your car.
3 visual inspection every 2 years, all the major rust and automatic failure of your choices are then to take the body to its fixed store, you can try again or junk the car.
Japan is surrounded by ocean on both sides if the rust cars.
In addition, they lead only an average of 6-8,000 miles a year roughly half of what Americans drive.

Thus, an old Japanese engine four years will often have a mileage like an old engine USDM 2 years.
Back in the Day swaps 40,000 miles were half common because there were thousands of cars in junkyards and no one to sell them too.
Then people came out, took every B16 with low mileage and imported.
A few years later secured the first 40,000 miles may be because they have taken the best longer you wait for your JDM engines B16 is the shittier.
I remember when you could see the engine swaps OBD0 B16A, Transvestite, all for 999 bits.
Do you have a good engine today compared to the time or are they stripped pilferage by 400 cars to see that an engine that did because the car was hit in the front fender and broke an axle so that they get an axle on another car throw everything in a box and call it good.

Honestly, the only way to know mileage is to buy the dashboard with the car as a whole before pliers.

I totally agree that I have always been skeptical of this 40K or less miles they claim these engines JDM In some cases, this might be true, but for most, I honestly think most have high milage on them.
I My Honda Boost Project currently Aborted New project coming soon.

There are some easy ways to say the mileage on a JDM engine before buying.
A request to match the serial numbers and wines with the gauge cluster if they do not, and accurate kilometerage.
B go to Japan, go to a junkyard screaming in agony saying Where are all the GOOD engines all thats left is CRAP and then go buy a used car just for the engine.
C look at the year, the engine is out of OBD1 that in 1995 you buy a ten year motor yes, his Honda engine but how long was the car in the junkyard.
Also I've heard of some places that have copies of the registration of the car title for transfering the engine so you can prove its not stolen, it could have the mileage and they could give it to you if you ask to make sure that figures on paper and figures on the block match.
This is a reason why I'm liking the idea F23 lots of USDM s F23 from 1998 to 2002 tons of them with less than 50,000 miles and they're cheap.

Determine all trading specificities and wiring will be the hardest, and two side supports custom drivers.
