We loved our Datsuns lead the Japanese Classic Car Show 2012, despite blistering 100 degrees This year we flew to Long Beach to visit the ECCP in 2013 near the Queen Mary.
The show started in 2005 with a modest audience and over the years the spectators flocked crazy number; This year was no exception and the crowd was a little overwhelming at times, we enjoyed the installation time ticket entrance crew ECCP new, efficient was beautiful with an amazing range of J-tin changed enormously survivors time capsule restorations So let's get the stars of the show.
Datsuns were well represented but scattered in the main areas much grass and parking I love seeing fresh cars and familiar faces 510 VG30 This caught my attention is the bay clean aesthetic and sanitary motor.
Who can miss the intransigent owners Datsun Roadster sports cars and convertibles beloved club The Southern California Roadster owners lined up their cars with a bone stock and modified examples These guys drive their cars Mike A has accumulated nearly 40k miles last year with his S14 SR20-switched 1968 SPL.
This thin model red roadster had a front end molded body and a flared interesting dashboard configuration.
If you're a fan of S30S and Z General JCCS cars had almost every classic generation displays.
There were several RB-powered Zs but triple carb Weber of L-series was enough.
Skylines Vintage JDM Legends abound built the Prince Motor Company Skyline racing livery.
Beautiful red Hakosuka, KenMeri, GC10 and DR30 Skylines.
Z31 300ZX s been a strong presence and my favorite was this edition Shiro wheeled chassis DSM left S12 cars also caught my attention in particular that own hatch powered RB26DETT.
Datsun truck may have been the most numerous with tasteful resto-mods and zany creations I thought this little pickup F20C-powered was about it until I realized it was also strengthened.
Two of my favorites, both powerplants sports cars SR20DET but totally different construction themes.
Datsun, 1200. s sunny and even some great GXS bumper.
Every year I look forward to seeing the JDM wheels both old school and reproduction I dub this JCCS as Year of the flat deep mesh or multipart the mesh style was in full effect from the RSS, Epsilon, Bahn Volk, labor and others.
I spotted these ultra-rare wheels Impul Hoshinos and Riverside Riverge these are replicas right, gotcha.
Toyota has always been a huge presence of business followed by Mazda, and this year, Honda even posted their own rare vehicles You have probably heard of Nissan celebrate 80 years why not display the collection in the largest gathering on the west coast NISSAN listening.
No one but three Toyota 2000GT sports cars were displayed, even a LHD model.
One of the wildest Toyota was Scott Kanemura Toyota Hilux huge project Mu brakes, VOLK TE37vs, Stack instruments and powerful 2JZ-GTE make this crazy truck.
There were so fresh Toyota Celicas, Starlets and Corollas in the This TRD widebody Starlet was a very impressive building with 275 Hoosiers width.
Wild engine swapped AE86 Corollas Check F20C with turbo and Rolla later with an LS1.

Rotary unite fans as the RX Posse had the greatest projection cars from the old school, I have ever seen in one place this year, there were Rx-7 CF and more superb examples of firstly FBS.
Honda proudly their own collection of rare cars like a CRX Mugen Nearly ten N600s were aligned against the pretty blue water.
This year end model Hondas Accords read I was shown m a big fan of the 1st to the 3rd generation of civic education, EF same time and I'm not all for show builds clean, tidy with personal touches Some of these Car looked unkempt and simply annoying that aside here were my favorites.
Spoon 3rd generation EF Bisimoto car, and one of many ultra-clean CRXs.
My favorite car at the show was the minivan Subaru 360 Garm B Besides its small size the truck is filled with details.
ECCP wouldn t be complete without decals and vanity plates.
Let's not forget to give respect to these parking warriors who sent down the show in style there were some real gems to find outside of the show as the Dodge Colt hatchback and Toyota Corona with perfect position.

Vintage Auto Salon was held today in San Leandro Marina and it was yet another successful show of the mind of Ivan and Jacques de HJCG They even organized special guest visits Diane Krey of Mary Wesley Ken and Mary commercials Nissan and famous Yoshiya Watanabe, the founder Rocky Auto store in Japan M. Watanabe also hand-picked the winners for the day.
What I like the HJCG shows is the variety of car totally restored to the ongoing work and everything in between At each of their past shows I'm stunned by at least a rare collection of JDM car this year, I completely canceled by this incredibly beautiful, incredibly rare, jaw dropping Silvia.
This chic beauty breathes fresh Consult the rear bumper divided, jewel-like tailights, impressive grille and interior color contrasting cream.
The lowered and shifted Watanabe wheels against the pale green paint made the car almost too delicious for me to bear.
The Silvias were built on the chassis using the same Datsun Roadster powertrain R16 4-speed Even gauges and toggle switches were deferrals I had a feeling that this wasn ta Silvia bone stock but then I peered under the frame and found a casing aluminum oil competition NISMO I tracked down the owner and asked him to pop open the hood so I can appease my curiosity and see that he had a powerful under-20 5-speed with Solexes a Datsun 2000 this elegant lady also offers a punch.
Z-car unite many S30 Action fans with a love S130 both alert RHD S30 This car now boasts beautiful wheels Watanabe left Eric drove his S30 Modesto TurboZX power.
You do not have to be a fan to appreciate the Datsun Nissan Skyline heads turned first three, GC10 Hakosukas and even 80 s DR30 Skyline came to show the two cuts were shades of silver and wore flares, engines L series triple carbed, interior cherry and spoilers.
The whole world Skyrine 4 favorite doors also lives with this Skyline DR30 hello 80 s.
Engine swaps are always fun to see and this show have transplants from under nearly Bizzarre intransigent Rotary this has to be the ultimate on pissed swap A powertrain Honda S2000 F20C 1st full RX-7 generation with this condition group Yup gauge S2K must-have for any car swapped F20.
rotary-too, but nothing shockingly new swaps are rotary Datsun 510s and Toyota Corolla green car is impeccable and won the heart of M. Watanabe Orange 510 sports a supercharged rotary roots style.
Speaking of 510s Datsun, there was a lot of cleaning SR KA swapped cars and some actions surprisingly well.
Cool roadster trucks Our friend Mark completed an exchange of KA24E engine in his right 521 pickup.

It is refreshing to see Hondas at The Civic EF white living room was super clean with a TOC level of detail in the engine bay We love.

Softer Toyotas I like the 1st generation Celica s I always thought that the outside dashboard and inside were ahead of their time.

We end with my favorite car, the Datsun Roadster There was a good performance with 6 roadsters at one time, including Mike A 68 SPL SR20 He drove from Pomona, my 67 5 SPL SR20 Dave P 67 SRL Will C 69 s and a red SRL SPL.
